池田 真利子（IKEDA Mariko）
歴史的地区と市民参加，現代社会の都市遺産・文化研究と創造性
世界遺産学学位Ｐでは，主としてヨーロッパの歴史的地区と市民参加に関する講義・演習を受け持っています。専門は地理学（人文地理学・文化地理学）で，博士（理学）を有しています。主として，西ヨーロッパ・中央ヨーロッパ都市（例えば，ベルリンやライプチヒ，ハンブルク等）の歴史的地区や，インナーシティの街区をフィールドに，歴史的地区およびその周辺地区の保存・活用について，人文的・地理的観点に基づく実証的・理論的研究を行っています。また，世界あるいは日本の現代社会における有形無形の都市遺産・文化の保存・継承・変容や，遺産活用における創造性の役割に関して，人文学的・地理学的観点に基づく理論・実証的研究を行っています。

Historic Centre and Civil Participation, Urban Heritage, Urban Culture and Creativity in Modern Society
Dr. Mariko Ikeda is a Human and Cultural Geographer, who received a Doctor of Science from the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Tsukuba.
In the Heritage Degree Program, she is mainly initiating lectures, exercises, and seminars relating to “conservation and utilization of Historic District and neighboring area in Western and Central Europe”. She also conducts theoretical and empirical research, based on humanistic and geographical perspectives, on the preservation, inheritance, and transformation of both tangible and intangible urban heritage and culture in contemporary societies around the world and in Japan, and on the role of creativity in the use of heritage.
Her academic research or interests stems from Geography, and she is currently working on both empirical and theoretical academic approaches based on field surveys on urban spaces in Germany; Berlin, Leipzig, Hamburg, etc..
