飯田 義彦 （IIDA Yoshihiko）
持続的遺産保全
世界遺産学学位Ｐでは，主として「世界遺産と持続可能性」に関する講義や「ユネスコ地域演習」を受け持っています。専門は景観生態学や自然地理学などをベースとした森林や緑地の評価と保全であり，博士（地球環境学）を有しています。2020年度から自然保護寄附講座の教育運営を担当しています。
都市から里山・山村地域までの自然と人間の関係システムを対象に，生物文化多様性，生態系サービス，地球環境学の観点から持続的な地域の保全を考究するとともに，国際機関（国連大学）での勤務経験をふまえて，複合遺産，ユネスコエコパーク，ジオパークなどを活かした国際ネットワークの構築や自然共生の地域づくりに関わる教育研究にも従事しています。

Sustainable Heritage Conservation
In the Heritage Studies degree Program, I am mainly in charge of the course of ‘World Heritage and Sustainability’ and ‘Project Practice in UNESCO-designated Area’. I hold a Ph.D. in Global Environmental Studies from Kyoto University and specialize in the assessment and conservation of forest landscapes and green spaces based on landscape ecology and physical geography. I have been also in charge of the education and management of the Certificate Programme on Nature Conservation since 2020.
I aim to consider sustainable local conservation from the perspectives of biocultural diversity, ecosystem services and global environmental studies, targeting nature-human systems from urban to satoyama landscape and mountainous areas. I have also cultivated education and research activities on the development of international networking and sustainable society harmony with nature through the Mixed Cultural and Natural heritage sites, UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and Global Geoparks, etc., based on my experience working at international organization such as United Nations University.
Academic societies: Japanese Institute of Landscape Architecture, The Association of Japanese Geographers, Japan Association for Landscape Ecology, Japanese Society of Revegetation Technology, etc.
