文化史

世界遺産学位Pでは、主として「古代の文化遺産の歴史的・文化的意義の評価と保護・保存や活用」に関する講義・演習を受け持っています。専門は古代エジプト文化史で、博士（文学）を有しています。

エジプトを中心とする古代の文化遺産の背景にある古代社会の歴史や文化、思想を明らかにすることで、文化遺産の評価をおこなっています。また、エジプト現地の文化遺産の保存修復の研究プロジェクトに参加し、古代の遺産の保護と活用のあり方にかかる研究に取り組んでいます。

Cultural History

Dr. Tokihisa Higo is an expert on the cultural history of ancient Egypt.

In the Heritage Studies Program, he offers courses for evaluating cultural heritage in the ancient world, including Egypt, by understanding the heritage’s purposes and historical/ cultural backgrounds from the viewpoint of cultural history. Besides, he is enrolled in research projects to preserve and utilize cultural heritage in Egypt and discusses the practical issues for inheritance of the cultural heritage.
