In Memoryof Dr. Janice Lindsay

We were sincerely sorry to hear of the 6 June passing of Dr. Janice Lindsay, one of our distinguished PH.D graduates in our Cultural Heritage Studies in 2011. We very much enjoyed having her here as one of our graduate students, due not only to her conscientious dedication to her course of study but also to her collaborative and cooperative relationships with the other students and with our faculty members. We are proud of her active involvement in the activities of UNESCO including those of the WorldHeritage Convention, representing the State Party of Jamaica. She was one of the representatives of Jamaica to serve on the World Heritage Committee and we admire her achievements as our World Cultural Heritage Studies graduate student.

We wish to extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues in Jamaica.

(She was the Principal Director of the Culture and Creative Industries Policy Division in the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Jamaica, and the former Director of Arts and Culture at the University of Technology, Jamaica.
