長年にわたり世界遺産学学位プログラムで教鞭を振るわれ、現在も授業をご担当頂いている稲葉信子先生(筑波大学名誉教授)が、令和六年度の令和6年度文化庁長官特別表彰を受賞しました。
同表彰は、永年にわたり文化活動に優れた成果を示し、我が国の文化の振興に貢献された方々、又は、日本文化の海外発信、国際文化交流に貢献された方々に対し、その功績をたたえるため、有識者による選考会議において選考を行い、その中から文化庁長官が発信力が高いと決定して表彰するものです。稲葉先生は、「永年にわたり、文化財保護の研究者として活躍するとともに、日本遺産(Japan Heritage)に係る日本遺産審査・評価委員会の委員として、創設当初から、制度の効果的な運用を図るための積極的な提案を行う等、我が国の文化財・文化観光へ多大な貢献をしている」とする評価を受けて表彰されました。

Professor Nobuko Inaba, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tsukuba, who has taught in our Degree Program for many years and continues to deliver lectures, has been awarded the 2024 Agency for Cultural Affairs Commissioner’s Special Commendation.
This commendation is given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in cultural activities over many years and contributed to promoting culture in Japan, or who have significantly advanced the dissemination of Japanese culture abroad and international cultural exchange. Recipients are selected through a deliberation process by a committee of experts, and the Commissioner of the Agency for Cultural Affairs formally recognizes those with exceptional impact.
Professor Inaba was honored for her distinguished contributions, including her long-standing career as a researcher in cultural heritage preservation and her role as a member of the Japan Heritage Evaluation Committee since its inception. She has made proactive proposals to ensure the effective implementation of the system, significantly contributing to Japan’s cultural heritage and cultural tourism.
